Our own Cheryl Herman interviewed David Rhodes, a Greensman on the set of THE MAZE RUNNER, about the film’s production and how his greensman team built the film’s epic Maze (including growing their own crops on set) over on Word & Film. Here’s an excerpt from the interview:
“W&F: Where do you get your inspiration from?
DR: The book’s success and FOX’s support is inspiring on its own. So much work goes into making a film, and to do my best not just for the creators, but for the fans was my motivation. When I first saw the story board images of James’s world coming to life, I said to myself, ‘Whoa, this movie is going to be epic.’”
