Chloe Benjamin’s New York Times Bestseller and #1 LibraryReads pick poses the question: If you knew the date of your death, how would you live your life? Audiobook producer Karen Dziekonski shares what connected her to the story and which audiobooks are her “Bucket List(ens)” that you simply cannot miss!
I grew up going to psychics, so the premise of THE IMMORTALISTS drew me in right away. That a bit of knowledge could transform the path of your life—well, I think that is something we can all relate to in some way. It was fascinating to see how Chloe Benjamin examines the power of “truth” through the Gold siblings. They each were changed fundamentally yet thought about their prophecies in different ways. When I visited the recording with narrator Maggie Hoffman, I thought she really conveyed the tension and struggle that the prophecy created for all of them.
P.S. The last psychic I went to told me I would marry a chef. This was 10 years ago and I thought she was crazy…But I did end up marrying a chef!

THE NIX by Nathan Hill: for its masterful narration by Ari Fliakos.
THE WAR THAT SAVED MY LIFE by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley, narrated by Jayne Entwistle: A moving, beautifully narrated story that I can’t wait to share with my kids.
