Video Kirby Heyborne’s Librarian Rap Song @ ALA 2014 (FULL VIDEO)

Award-winning audiobook narrator Kirby Heyborne‘s performance of his original song, “Ain’t Nobody Change the World Like a Librarian,” will surely go down in ALA Annual history as one of the best surprise moments experienced by a crowd of librarians. Ever. By the time the rap ended, the Twittersphere was bursting with love for Heyborne and audiobooks, with one librarian proclaiming, “Ok folks, if you are not at the #odyssey awards, you are really losing out.” But even if you were unable to join the fun in person, fear not: we captured the full performance of this epic rap song for you to enjoy, share with friends, and hum all day long (trust us, it’s catchy) as you “Change. The World. One book at a time!” And look out for those SCOWLER masks in the crowd!

In this video: seated at the dais behind Kirby (from right to left) are narrators Rebecca Lowman and Sunil Malhotra (Eleanor & Park), producer Kelly Gildea, author/narrator Tim Federle (Better Nate Than Ever), author Daniel Kraus (SCOWLER), Booklist‘s Odyssey advisor, Rebecca Vnuk, and Odyssey Chair, Ellen Spring.

A sea of SCOWLER…what a crowd! ScowlerCrowd
