What should I do if my cookies are enabled and I'm still getting an error?
If your "cookies" are enabled and you are still getting a cookie error, please empty your shopping cart and restart your computer. If that does not help, then you may need to consider downloading a new version of your web browser.
What does "Error: (Book #) is not available yet or is not a valid book number" mean?
This error occurs on our shopping cart page and appears for one of the following four reasons.
- You might have mistyped the book # that you wanted to enter.
- You could have entered a valid book number, one you have seen on our New Releases, for example, but has not yet been added to our website.
- You could have entered a book number that has not yet been released or has been changed. Occasionally we have to change a book number because we have re-recorded a book.
- We may have deleted the book from our catalog. On rare occasions, we lose or do not renew the rights to some of our titles. To find out about a particular book # that is giving you trouble, please contact us.
What does "Error: (Book #) is a multi-part book. Please indicate which part you want to order" mean?
This error occurs on our shopping cart page and appears when you do not specify what part of a multi-part you would like to order. Our shopping cart does not assume what part you want to order and thus requires you to enter each part as you see fit. To specify which part you want, please add, "-a or a", "-b or b", or "-c or c" to indicate part 1, 2, or 3 of a multi part title, respectively.
How do I know I am on the secure server?
You know you're on the booksontape.com secure server (or any secure server for that matter) when the URL for booksontape.com changes from http://www.booksontape.com to https://www.booksontape.com. http = our regular server, https = the secure server. Another way to make sure your connection is secure is to check that the pad lock on the bottom right corner of your browser (Microsoft) or the bottom left hand corner of your browser (Netscape) is LOCKED. If it is not locked or you do not see the pad lock at all, then the page is NOT secure. If it is locked, then your information is guaranteed to be safe.
What should I do if I never received my username and password request via e-mail?
On occasion, our username/password e-mails can be marked as an unsolicited e-mail message by your ISP (Internet Service Provider). When this occurs, your e-mail is usually moved to a bulk/spam folder. To retrieve our e-mail, you should just have to visit/open this folder and look for an e-mail that was sent from booksontape.com on the day and time of your original request.
