Title Description
Flush from his success in America, Alan Lewrie is back in London, where he is living the bachelor life to its fullest, juggling three randy women and paying half-serious courtship to the virtuous Caroline Chiswick. But just as Caroline becomes lamentably marriage-minded, the Admiralty sends Alan to India, where he meets up with his father, whom he detests for trying to cheat him out of his mother's inheritance. Drawn by the thrill of prospective naval action, they reconcile, and head for Macao, Canton, and the South China Sea. There, battles on land and sea await them, as they face thousands of savages led by their decadent French masters. As King's Privateers, they can seize all the riches they can lay their hands on.
"The best naval series since C. S. Forester...Recommended." (Library Journal)

As usual, John Lee does an excellent job in conveying the personality of the players. Dewey Lambdin is our current favorite author.

A very satisfying book. Allen Lewrie has a very specific mission to complete, and he's nearly killed several times in its pursuit. The best book in the series so far. The series has entirely too much sex, though, in my conservative opinion.

Perhaps the best in the series. Packed with sea and land battles, lots of intrigue and the protagonist's usual bed hopping. Keeps the series alive.

Wonderful book; I am sorry to have started at the end of the series, now am going back to the beginning. This reader is absolutely excellent!
