Title Description
Paul Madvig was a cheerfully corrupt politician who aspired to something better; the daughter of a senator, the heiress to a dynasty of political purebreds. But did he want her badly enough to commit murder? And if Madvig was innocent, which of his dozens of enemies was doing an awfully good job of framing him? Often neglected by readers in the thrall of Hammett's more famous novels and stories, THE GLASS KEY is of itself a tour de force of detective fiction.

This is one of the great classics of cynical, hard-boiled detective fiction, by the man who invented the genre.
