Title Description
The Dark Wind brings only evil when it gains control of the human mind, or so says Navajo lore. Jim Chee, Navajo tribal police investigator, sees things too logically to believe it.

But on assignment in the Navajo-Hopi borderlands, Chee finds events taking a most illogical turn: a windmill is repeatedly vandalized, the body of a murdered man defies identification and a darkened airplane crashes on a deserted mesa. The plane, containing smuggled drugs, draws Chee deep into the rituals of Indian sorcery as he tries to solve the mysteries.
